Ozone is able to destroy a wider range of organisms in
drinking water than chlorine and removes most objectionable
tastes and odors from the water. Plus, it breaks down
residual trace elements of toxic chemicals and pathogens and
kills bacteria (including E-Coli).
Water filters don't have
the ability to actually kill bacteria in water. Filtering
water only removes solid compounds, it does not purify,
meaning kill the bacteria that may be present in the water.
Even if you filter you water, it is not save of potentially
deadly bacteria. Water distillers can kill bacteria, but
they are usually not made very well, and hard to keep clean.
